CREATIVITY
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good
Genesis 1.3
Spiritual Sometimes called ‘Creation,’ this value reminds us of God as creator - of the wonderful world we live in and of us, his people. Creativity is at the heart of teaching and learning within our school and we place great importance on the creative arts and valuing the environment and talents God has given us.
"The heavens tell the glory of God. And the skies announce what his hands have made" Psalm 19:1
Moral The Bible opens with an account of how God created the Universe and all the things within it. Although Christians have different views on scientific accounts on the creation of the universe, all hold God as the creator. Along with this gift, we have also been handed the responsibility for looking after this planet – something that most would agree that we could do a better job at!
Social Each of us is creative but we all have different gifts and abilities. Some of us love to paint, others to cook: some like to make music, others to build models. We should celebrate and value each other’s individual talents and abilities.
Cultural Every life is of great value, and God loves all individuals. This speaks of the dignity and worth, not only of the children but the adults in our school and community as well. Our children and staff are valued as individuals and are encouraged to achieve well, making the most of their abilities, talents and skills.
As a parent you too can get involved by clicking on the value above and sharing our 'Take Home Sheet' with your child.
