St Barnabas Church
We are proud to be a Church of England School and believe this is what makes our school distinctive.
Jesus is at the very heart of all that we do and both children and adults follow in his footsteps to live out the Christian vision and values of Friendship, Creativity, Honesty, Peace, Responsibility, Compassion, Justice and Perseverance. We welcome families, whatever their beliefs or faith, as part of our school family.
We have very strong links with St Barnabas Church and Rev. Karen Timmis is a familiar face at school, she leads regular worship and Eucharist services in school and takes an active part in leading communion lessons in KS2. We welcome members of the Parish who volunteer in school and we regularly visit Church as part of worship or our RE lessons. We celebrate all Christian festivals throughout the year as well as regular Eucharist services in school and at Church.

Baptism and Confirmation
Rev.Timmis warmly welcomes enquiries about baptism for both children and adults.
Confirmation is very special: the word means strengthening or deepening one’s relationship with God. At Confirmation in the Church of England a baptised person makes the promises for themselves that were made on their behalf by parents and godparents at their baptism / christening. Although anyone being confirmed needs to be baptised first, this can take place regardless of age. Rev Timmis leads confirmation lessons each year.
